Streszczenie
Głównym celem artykułu jest identyfikacja efektów restrukturyzacji w teorii i praktyce. By tak postawiony cel zrealizować w pierwszej części zdefiniowano proces restrukturyzacji i jej efekty w aspekcie teoretycznym, wyodrębniając restrukturyzację organizacyjną, produktową, finansową i zatrudnienia. Następnie badaniu poddano przedsiębiorstwo odwadniania kopalń, w którym planuje się głęboką restrukturyzację organizacyjną i zatrudnienia. Po określeniu celów i zakresu tej restrukturyzacji oceniono jej efekty w kontekście redukcji kosztów działalności.

RESTRUCTURING AS A SOURCE OF COST REDUCTION } IN AN ENTERPRISE – ACTIVITIES AND EFFECTS

Summary
The main goal of this article is to identify the effects of restructuring in the theory and practice. To achieve this objective the first part of the paper defines restructuring process and its effects in theoretical perspective, including product, organizational, financial and employment restructuring. Then a mine dewatering enterprise, which plans deep organizational and employment restructuring, is researched. After defining aims and scope of this restructuring its effects are evaluated in the context of cost reduction.
