CSR jest coraz bardziej powszechną koncepcją stosowaną przez polskie organizacje. Celem artykułu jest przybliżenie istoty koncepcji CSR oraz płynących z niej korzyści. W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań na temat CSR przeprowadzone przez PARP.

CSR – CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Summary
The publication is about Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The activities, which today would be considered as responsible business activities started appearing a few thousand years ago but these were mere manifestations of today’s structured CSR, which was created during the last century. CSR is a pro-social activity that benefits not only the business environment, but also the business itself. It is a conception where companies volunteer to participate in creating a better local society and healthier environment. In turn in the long term they can bring lasting benefits in the form of a recognizable, respected brand, increased employee satisfaction and effectiveness, as well as trust among business partners and investors. This carries a greater chance of getting the investment and opportunities for development. Corporate social responsibility has two dimensions: internal and external. Internal is responsible for management, an efficient management of resources, minimizing environmental impact. While the external dimension focuses on business relationships, business impact on the local community, human rights, concerns the protection and care of the environment. The concept of CSR has been steadily gaining popularity among both international corporations and among small and medium enterprises, as a way to gain competitive advantage. With unchanged trends, corporate social responsibility in the coming years might become a standard.
