Streszczenie:
Cel – celem artykułu jest analiza przychodów osiąganych przez wybrane uczelnie publiczne. Metodologia badania – w opracowaniu wykorzystano metodę analizy źródeł oraz metodę dedukcji i indukcji. Wynik – w opracowaniu wskazuje się na tendencje zmian w zakresie przychodów wybranych uczelni publicznych. Oryginalność/Wartość – w artykule stawia się hipotezę, że uczelnie publiczne muszą finansować swoją działalność nie tylko z dotacji budżetowych lub opłat za świadczone usługi edukacyjne ale również ze środków przeznaczonych na naukę oraz przychodów związanych komercjalizacją wyników badań.

FINANCING THE ACTIVITY OF PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES
Abstract:
Purpose – the purpose of the article is to analyse incomes received by the selected Polish public universities. Design/Methodology/approach – the content analysis as well as deductive and inductive reasoning were used in the study. Findings – the study points to the direction of changes in the scope of incomes of the selected Polish public universities. Originality/value – in the article the following hypothesis is proposed: Public universities must finance their activity not only using government grants or payments they receive for the educational services, but also from resources that are provided for studies as well as incomes related to commercialisation of the research results.
